Small Batch Lemon Ice Granita Recipe

Like Frozen Lemonade Only Better – Front Porch Recipes

I’ve been on a granita kick, you might have noticed. Maybe just maybe, I’ve saved the best one for last.

Lemonade is as much about Southern summers, picnics in the park, and any one fruit I can think of,except watermelon. Yeah, I got a recipe for watermelon granitas…but I’m saving it until watermelons are actually in season here in Kentucky. The watermelons have just gotten their first true leaves since my return from Charleston South Carolina….so it’s going to be awhile.

If you love lemonade lemon ice granitas are for you. With just a zing of acidity, these cool refreshments are just the ticket to beat the summer heat. I’m munching and crunching one right now. I might have added just a hint of cherry moonshine over the top…or maybe not. You know I have many friends who think moonshine is an urban myth. Let’s leave it at that. Giggles
