French Onion Soup Recipe

A Warm Bowl of Soup

It’s supposed to be spring. I want to talk about spring greens, fancy radishes, and what is growing in my garden. I dream of strolling through farmers markets laughing with the farmers and drinking a icy cold lemonade.

Looking out the barn windows, there may be fresh green mountains…but the rain is cold and our ground is soaked. The only thing coming out of my garden is a river of mud puddles with a few toad frogs.

Spoon in! French Onion Soup

When it’s cold and rainy, I turn to comfort food. French onion soup is one of my favorites! The warm gooey cheese, the sweet onions bathed in beef broth and wine, the hearty chunks of toast, coupled with cute individual servings of soup combine in a relaxed bowl of “welcome home.”

It’s a good day for ducks….and frogs. I’m snuggling in a quilt at the big red barn slurping French Onion Soup. Join me?
