Real Life A Baby Boomer in Appalachia
Sharing the Giggles
Friends Drift Inn Recipes, Gardening and Hot Flashes launched with a whisper and a prayer on January 1, 2011. Hard to believe a year has rolled past!
The journey has been one filled with giggles….and blood, sweat and tears. Turning fifty is not for the faint of heart…..and I have been blessed to share the experience with so many people!
In the New Year, things will be moving pretty fast .I might have to give up my red high heels for sneakers! Friends Drift Inn newspaper column is being syndicated. I have invitations from a dozen chefs to come visit….and there is one chef that just won’t invite me…but I’m chasing him anyway! Giggles There will be bourbon and goats, honeybees and fish in coal mines. Yeah, you better stick around. It’s going to get interesting.
Here’s a look at Year One….Friends Drift Inn Recipes Gardening and Hot Flashes…

I live in a barn and cook up a storm. I am not a debutante. I have hot flashes. I garden in red high heels. I like fat rascals, tea, and bourbon. Welcome to Friends Drift Inn!

I love Kentucky, I fell in love with it a long time ago, when I first traveled through it! It was in late 1980′s. I’m down in Mobile, Alabama, which is pretty nice. We don’t have the beautiful mountains, but we enjoy good fishing in the ocean on the Gulf of Mexico.
I enjoyed watching your video very much! Gardening is our main hobby, mainly organic gardening. My wife has the green thumb, though.
Thanks again for a nice video.
