Friends Drift Inn blog was launched in 2011 by Joyce Pinson with the aim of sharing recipes, gardening tips and real life in Appalachia. Written by Joyce Pinson a red hat wearing community advocate, the blog has evolved into many working pieces including regional newspaper and media, a platform for Appalachian agriculture and foodways, and most recently a working market farm in the heart of Kentucky’s coalfields. The blog is in the process of rebanding as “Friends Drift Inn Farm” to better reflect the mission of our journey.
